SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL 20 MPH CONSULTATION
‘Have Your Say: Proposed 20mph Speed Limit in Newdigate’
Surrey Highways are proposing to reduce the speed limit to 20mph on Kingsland and Village Street in Newdigate Village. To balance safety with the physical layout of the area, this change will be implemented using signs and road markings only.
The scheme is currently open for public consultation, and Surrey Highways want to hear your thoughts. You can view the formal plans and submit your comments online.

Rights of Way/Footpaths – Report It!
Surrey has almost 3482 kilometres (2164 miles) of footpaths bridleways, and byways. Surrey County Council are responsible for the management and maintenance of this network, and for the Definitive Map that is a legal record of the position and status of Rights of Way. You can view which paths will be cut when you log into report a fault and look at our reporting map. A path that is due to be cut will be indicated by yellow triangles along the length of that path. Please ensure that the location is accurately plotted on the map and provide as much information as possible.

CPR & Defibrillator Session
The Parish Council is once again looking into holding another practical first aid and Defibrillator session for residents. It would cover basic first aid skills and how to use a defibrillator – all really useful things to know in the community. The session would last around three hours and take place at the village hall on a weekend day.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please drop the Clerk an email or pop a note with your contact details into the letterbox. This will help us get an idea of how many people might like to come along. The session will be completely free and is open to all ages.
