Full Council Meeting on Monday 14th September 2026 at 8pm
Please note there is no ordinary Full Council meeting held during August. Our next public session will take place on Monday 14th September at the Village Hall. Residents are, as always, warmly invited to attend and raise any local matters during the public forum. We look forward to seeing you there.
Cutting Back Overhanging Hedges and Vegetation
We kindly ask all landowners and residents to inspect their hedges, trees, and boundary plants. If your property borders a village pavement, public footpath, or road, please ensure branches are cut right back. Overhanging vegetation forces wheelchair users, mobility scooters, and parents with pushchairs to dangerously step onto the road. Let’s work together to keep our village walkways safe and accessible for everyone.
Shaping Our New East Surrey Council Brand
Following the landmark progress of the ongoing Local Government Reorganisation in our county, a joint committee of local councillors has reached a key milestone in laying the groundwork for our future governance. Residents from across Newdigate and Mole Valley are now being officially invited to help shape the visual look, identity, and branding of the new East Surrey Council. To have your say on local representation and get involved in the creative campaign workshops, visit the Mole Valley Consultation Portal.
Planning Enforcement Reminder
The Parish Council remains highly vigilant regarding unpermitted developments that disrupt our immediate neighbours and local wildlife. We continue to work alongside other Mole Valley villages dealing with identical planning issues. If you notice a breach, please document it with photos and submit a formal report directly to the central tracking system via the Mole Valley Planning Enforcement Portal to ensure it is officially investigated.
Community Autumn Litter Pick – Save the Date!
To keep our beautiful village looking its best after the busy summer months, we will be hosting our Autumn Community Litter Pick on Saturday 19th September 2026. We will gather outside the Village Hall at 10:30am. High-vis vests, litter grabbers, and bags will all be provided. Everyone is welcome to join in—let’s work together to protect our local environment!
