Full Council Meeting on 8 June 2026 at 8pm
David Cowan (Rural Housing Enabler) from Surrey Community Action Group will be presenting to Council and residents at our meeting in June. They work with parish councils, community groups and the public to understand what housing needs a community may (or may not) have. We hope to see you there!

Speed Watch
The Local speed watch team continue in their efforts to highlight the importance of safer speeds through the village. Just their presence often makes drivers put the brakes on! If you see the team out and about, please show them your support.

Planning Enforcement
The Parish have seen numerous sites being developed without the relevant planning permission over the past few months or even years and recognise that this is most disturbing for the immediate neighbours and of course the local wildlife! Of course, we are not alone and many local villages in Mole Valley are dealing with the same planning issues. In the first instance please do report it via the Mole Valley Website portal providing as much detail as possible with supporting photos/evidence. This will keep all planning breaches centralised and you will receive a confirmation email with appropriate reference number whilst it is being investigated further.

Bonfires
Please consider your neighbours. The fine weather is imminent so please be considerate of others when burning garden waste, avoiding where possible fine sunny weekends, during the day when neighbours are more likely to be enjoying their own gardens. If you must burn garden waste, ensure you check for any wildlife taking refuge. Remember you must not burn household rubbish. For more information visit www.gov.uk/garden-bonfires-rules.

Newdigate Village Day!
We hope to see many of you at the village day which will be held on Sunday 26 July 2026, 12pm until 5pm. Please do come and say ‘Hi’. The Parish Councillors welcome your views and ideas to help improve the parish for residents.

Contact Us! The Parish Council are always willing to discuss topics proposed by members of the community. As each agenda is prepared in advance you will need to put things forward at least a week before a meeting to ensure it can be included and discussed.
The Council can be contacted via the clerk clerk@newdigateparishcouncil.gov.uk and do keep an eye on our website www.newdigateparishcouncil.gov.uk for dates and times of future meetings.
