Our next two Full Parish Council meetings will be held on Monday 9th February and Monday 9th March 2026 starting at 7.30pm in the village hall. All meetings are open to members of the public.

Village Litter Pick
Please save the date – meet Phill on Saturday 7th March 2026 meet at 10am in the village hall car park. Bags, Hi Viz and litter pickers will be provided.

Parish Council – Council Tax
The Parish Council Precept figure was submitted to Mole Valley District Council on 6th January 2026. This represents the figure that forms part of the Council Tax paid by properties within the Parish. In the previous two years, councillors have not requested any increase to this figure. The Finance Committee recommended to Full Council a small increase of 2% considering that many householders are already experiencing a significant increase in their bills and household expenses. The Parish Council will continue to offer support in the community and finance assistance for local grants. Further information can be found on the Mole Valley District Council website.

Autumn Winter Duties
Please remember the seasonal duties of hedge-cutting and ditch cleaning. A plea to remember that ditches are for water only, not garden waste.

Defibrillators
A successful and well-attended CPR and Defibrillator session for residents was held on 13 December in the village hall. Life-saving techniques were demonstrated and the many questions asked made the session very informative. All those attending said they felt they had learned a great deal. Important highlights included the location of and access to the defibrillators, which can significantly increase the chance of survival by up; to 50%.

We have three defibrillators within the parish:

  1. Opposite Surrey Oaks Pub in the telephone box.
  2. On side wall of Bob’s Shop in The Street.
  3. The Cricket Pavillion in the kitchen (limited access).
