Parkgate Road (C59) Newdigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Parkgate Road (C59) Newdigate which extends from; (a) the southwestern property boundary line of “Hallings Hatch” to the northeastern property boundary line of “Lances Cottage” and; (b) the southeastern property boundary line of “Downton” to the northeastern property boundary line of “Sampford House”.
Alternative Route – Parkgate Road (C59), Partridge Lane (C60) and Rusper Road (C59) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within; (a) 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 21 February 2025 and; (b) 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 March 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
